I HATE iOS 10.0.1. WAIT NO I LOVE IT!

iphone-410311_1280When it comes to my iPhone, I don’t like change! There’s nothing I hate worse than an app getting moved around and throwing off my mojo—let alone a whole new iOS update changing practically everything. So needless to say, I definitely wasn’t thrilled when I saw the new iOS 10.0.1 update.

I feel like every time I finally have everything organized and under control, a new update comes out and I’m starting all over again back at square one. But once again, I bit the bullet and pressed the “download/install” button. As I patiently waited for that little line to make it all the way across my phone and reach the 100% mark, I couldn’t help but think, “Am I going to love it or am I going to hate it?”

Once the downloading process was over, I put my thumb on the home button and unlocked my phone to a whole new world…a world I DID NOT like! Some of the thoughts that crossed my mind were: I hate this…how do I even work my own phone? Why is the send button in a text message not where it used to be? Doesn’t Apple know that my thumb is programmed to tap exactly where it needs to once I finish a message? How inconvenient of them to change that on me. The next thing that came to my mind was: “What is all this extra stuff in my messaging? What is this Fireball, Heartbeat and Heartbreak nonsense?!?!” “WHY ARE THESE EMOJIs SO HUGE?”

I definitely don’t like this update. I give it a 2/10. iOS 10.0.1, you’re the worst. But, wait! What’s this tiny little new button in my messaging do? A .GIF KEYBOARD? A whole library of quirky little .gifs at the touch of a finger…I don’t mind if I do (insert heart-eyed emoji here).

Sorry for judging you iOS 10.0.1. I guess you’re not that bad after all!

Until the next update, I’m out.
